SUMMARY:IPC course – introduction to permaculture 2025
DESCRIPTION:\nPractical and interactive course to help you see the natural cycles, understand permaculture principles and decide how to use them in everyday life.\n\n\n\nThis course is a standard and recognized “entry” to the permaculture education, and will enable you to continue with advanced courses anywhere in the world.\n\n\n\nWe always include some practical parts into the programme, so that students can learn in “hands-on” examples.\n\n\n\n\nYou will learn\n\n\n\npermaculture ethics \n\n\n\npermaculture principles \n\n\n\npractical examples of how to use permaculture principles in design and in everyday life \n\n\n\nsecrets of the soil and soil organisms \n\n\n\nnatural building techniques\n\n\n\nnatural cycles of water, oxygen, nutrition and elements\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nwith practicals\n\n\n\nEDIBLE WEEDS – recognising and eating wild and cultivated herbs\n\n\n\nCOMPOSTING in the garden, including humanure\n\n\n\nLAND OBSERVING techniques \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe venue – the course will take place at the Eco-Experience Center and Community Garden Divočina, located in the picturesque village of Malešov near Kutná Hora. Divočina encompasses 2.5 hectares of orchards, meadows, forests, and a community garden. The Eco-Center Divočina focuses on experiential education in ecology and English, organizing various courses, camps, eco-programs, and more. \n\n\n\nFood will be provided during the whole weekend and will be vegan and organic.\n\n\n\n\nAccommodation options (choose in the application or as you arrive, bring sleeping bags)\n\n\n\nTeepee with wooden flooring for 3 people\n\n\n\nWooden caravan for 1-2 people \n\n\n\nWooden house with 2 double-bed rooms + attic for 4 people\n\n\n\nOutdoor patio with a roof, or your own tent. \n\n\n\nIt is also possible to stay in a nearby guesthouse in Malešov “U Fraňků” (arrange on your own).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTeacher – Katka Horackova, DAPD, permaculture designer and teacher, vegan and permaculture activist, seed-saver, ayurvedic balm-maker, with many years of experience with volunteering and community living, works with Akademie permakultury CR, also chair of Czech permaculture Association PermakulturaCS, www.permakulturacs.cz ( http://www.permakulturacs.cz/ )\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nmore information : divocina.sprava@gmail.com or 420 723 221 821\n\n\n\nPlease apply and reserve your spot before May 31, 2025\n
